Jeff Buckley once wandered into The Phoenix, having heard the music on the street outside, and when he tasted our Guinness he was heard to say, "Hallelujah! Finally a good pint in Australia!" 

Jeff came for the music and stayed for the service. You should too.

You'll find no miniature stonehenges here. Just a stage, some amps and an audience ready to roar the band on. The Phoenix prides itself on booking some of the most exciting established and up-and-coming acts from Canberra and around the country.

Entrance is always free at the Phoenix as we've always refused to put on a door charge even when an act is extremely popular.  So be sure to come early and get yourself a good spot, get the drinks in and sit back for a thoroughly enjoyable night.
