HELLO SATELLITES

"Delicate, distinctive melodies and the beautiful vocals of Eva Popov combine to create memorable, and moving songs." Simon Winkler - RRR

"Despite the unique percussive touches, multiple voices, piano and strings, ‘Out There’ never feels cluttered or overworked... It deftly weaves seemingly disparate elements into a rich whole, and there's something truly captivating about Popov's vocal lilt." Darren Levin - Mess+Noise

"Eva Popov has managed to write one of the most heart-shatteringly glorious albums I've heard in a very very long time. I cannot stop listening." Clare Bowditch

"From the sweet, simple beginnings of this song to the swell more than halfway through and that laidback, warm vocal throughout; this song had me at hello." Zan Rowe - Triple J

"It has to be said: Popov’s voice is sublime. She slips between delicacy and raw power so naturally it’s practically unconsciously embedded in her delivery, giving her words an air of honesty that would be hard to simply emulate in deliberate and constructed dynamic changes." Mitch Knox - Time Off Magazine

Hello Satellites is the new project from Melbourne songwriter Eva Popov. It moves in the pop world whilst maintaining a depth that belies the escapism of modern pop music. Eva Popov has previously released recordings eponymously that have lead her to be part of various Australian tours including unearthed shows with Triple J and received generous airplay on local and national radio.

Beginning as a solo project in her suburban shed before taking form as a studio collaboration with producer Nick Huggins, Hello Satellites creates both subtle and exciting music. The forthcoming record is made up of ecstatic flashes of pop reverie amongst stunning quieter and more introspective moments. It includes the musicianship of Cathryn Kohn, Melisa Collins, Peter Emptage, Mark Gretton (Touch Typist).
